Three Industry Families Start a Parent Company
Mellby Gård AB, Profura AB, and Santhe Dahl Invest AB start a new parent company. With a unique owner constellation, the parent company – Family Partnership Invest – will focus on industrial development, culture, and creating long-term value.
A Family-Owned Company With a Long-Term Ownership Horizon
Family Partnership Invest (FPI) is a parent company that will first and foremost take on the owner role in small and medium-sized Nordic niche and leading companies, with an initial focus on the Swedish market. The main focus is industrial development rather than financial engineering, and FPI has an eternal ownership horizon. As a starting point, FPI has just over 1 billion SEK to invest.
The company was founded by three genuine entrepreneurial families: Mellby Gård AB, Profura AB, and Santhe Dahl Invest AB.
“We’re a small group of down-to-earth entrepreneurs that all share the same values. We complete each other well and have experience managing several different parts and phases of companies’ development, for example, growth, small companies, global businesses, production, retail, service companies, and turnarounds”, says Johan Andersson, CEO of Mellby Gård AB.
With its family and entrepreneur constellation, the parent company plans to act as a catalyst for small and medium-sized companies that want to take the next leap and grow.
“All of us have been part of developing smaller companies into significant actors within their respective fields. Our experiences allow us to combine entrepreneurship with the structure, or order, needed to be able to grow. And together, we have an extensive and qualified network that our companies can benefit from”, comments Santhe Dahl, CEO of Santhe Dahl Invest AB.
A People and Culture-Centered Company
Family Partnership Invest will be run by entrepreneurs who share an understanding of how to run and develop companies and a strong trust in a family-oriented and down-to-earth culture, a strong drive, and common sense.
The company also strives for active ownership that will help and strengthen the daughter companies in several dimensions – their people, strategy, process, and financial growth – based on each daughter company’s journey.

The CEO of the company is Daniel Wedberg. Daniel grew up on a farm in the countryside outside the small town of Töreboda in Västergötland. He has 10 years of experience in investment and ownership-related work and 20 years of industrial experience from his many roles in larger and smaller industrial and trading companies. Daniel founded and was the CEO of Scania’s first venture fund, and most recently, he came from the management of the technology concern Lagercrantz Group, where he held the position of Head of Division.
“It’s a privilege to start working with Daniel as CEO. We were able to check every box on our wish list, for example, industrial background, transaction experience, and high level of strategic insight, as well as a deep understanding of the entrepreneur’s and small business owner’s preconditions. I honestly didn’t think that Daniel would be interested, but I was very happy when his first answer was that he has dreamt about building something from scratch with professional, entrepreneurial families his entire life,” comments Arne Karlsson, chairman of the board of FPI and previously CEO and chairman of Ratos.
